Assistant Production Manager

Giant are seeking an Assistant Production Manager for an exciting new CG animation production.

Position Overview

This is a full-time position based in the Dublin studio, and there is flexibility for remote working but applicants should be able to work in the Irish timezone as the studio.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Production manager and Producer to manage the overall show schedule for all phases of production.
  • Create breakout and department schedules.
  • Support the management team to schedule and plan resource requirements and provide an effective and efficient approach to completing the show within agreed deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure the in-house team understands the goals and milestone deadlines.
  • Provide regular milestone reports and liaise with departments regarding milestones.
  • Inform all necessary parties of any possible/actual delays, reasons and what is being done to avoid further delays. 
  • Assist the Production Manager and Producer with the weekly client reports, ensuring the information contained within is accurate at all times.
  • Manage and mentor production team, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined. 
  • Along with Producer and Production Manager liaise with the client to arrange reviews, meetings, conference calls, deliveries, discuss schedule etc.
  • Track Actual Days vs Bid days on all stages of the pipeline. Maintain tracking documents and keep asset database up to date with all necessary information, feeding accurate reports to Production Manager. 
  • Arrange weekly internal reviews of assets, animatics and animation passes.  
  • Support Production Manager and Producer on hiring.

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years Management experience in Animation. 
  • Proven scheduling experience with a knowledge of Shotgrid.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and G Suite.
  • Good communication skills – including interaction with production team, department groups and supervisors.
  • Ability to manage clients needs and expectations.
  • Organised and methodical in approach to work, with ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Capable of motivating and leading teams with enthusiasm.
