Giant are seeking Character Modellers for an exciting new CG production.

Position Overview

This is a full-time position based in the Dublin studio, and there is flexibility for remote working but applicants should be able to work in the Irish timezone as the studio.

Position Responsibilities

  • Follow design concepts and briefs to produce high-quality Character Sculpts and Models that meet client and internal quality expectations
  • Retopologise Character Models that adhere to the project pipeline and meet animation and rigging requirements
  • Work closely with Creative Supervisor(s) to produce Character Blendshape Models as required
  • Ensure your assets meet specifications provided by Creative and Technical Supervisor(s) 
  • Implement creative and technical feedback as required
  • Participate in creative and technical reviews as required
  • Balance quick turnarounds with achieving a high degree of aesthetic quality
  • Communicate production concerns ahead of time with Supervisor(s) and Production Team
  • Use Shotgun for production tracking, submitting and publishing
  • Adhere to digital file management protocols

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Character Modelling
  • Thorough knowledge of Maya
  • Strong technical knowledge of topology solutions
  • Experience working with Blendshapes
  • Knowledge of Zbrush a plus
  • Good communication skill and ability to work interactively with production and other departments to solve production challenges
