Giant are now seeking experienced Episodic Directors for an exciting new upcoming CG production.
These are full-time positions and will be based in our studio in Dublin, Ireland.

Work closely with Supervising Director and Art Director to help establish visual rules for the series and guidelines for characters and locations
Help oversee script versions to prepare Director notes as well as creative and constructive feedback for episodes before they move into production
Partner with the Supervising Director to help lead the storyboard team and deliver assigned episodes through animatics
Take part in episodic launch calls and handover calls with the Supervising Director
Work closely with Storyboard Supervisor to plan episodes and direct storyboard artists
Lead Storyboard Pitch calls with the client
Work closely with the Animatic Editor to direct animatics
Collaborate directly with production team to review and address client notes
Help with the dissemination of client notes and give clear direction and advice to team
Provide status updates, troubleshoot, and review potential changes on a regular basis with production staff
Participate in the talent acquisition process with the Line Producer and Production Manager to review portfolios and tests, interview candidates, and provide detailed feedback
Mentor and support the Pre Production team and cultivate positive team morale
5+ years experience, preferably in CG animation for TV or Film
Prior directorial experience essential, ideally in a long format TV series
Proven skills in storyboarding, storytelling and animation timing
Working knowledge of CG animation pipeline
Strong leadership capabilities, motivating and leading teams with enthusiasm
Ability to manage clients needs and expectations in line with series assumptions
Organised and methodical in approach to work
Ability to establish priorities and multi-task efficiently within a high pressure environment while meeting strict TV deadlines
Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of production team, artists and management.
