This is a full-time position based in the Dublin studio, and there is flexibility for remote working but applicants should be able to work in the Irish timezone as the studio.
This short-term contract will have an initial duration of 3 months.
Starting date: January 2024
Create high-quality hair, fur, feathers, and organic elements for 3D characters and environment
Works independently on defined tasks but in collaboration with artists and supervisors in modelling, shading, and lighting during the look development process
Collaborate with other departments to ensure groom functionality within character rigs
Assist with overall character look development processes
Optimise grooms for rendering.
2+ years of professional experience in animation.
Proficiency in Maya, Yeti and Houdini (required).
Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience working on creatures, digital doubles, topology, and blend shapes (preferred).
Eye for detail and ability to QA their own work to ensure the highest quality before assets handoff.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills; experience working under tight deadlines.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as a team player.
A clear understanding of colour space, shading, lighting, and rendering methodologies.
Knowledge of Shotgrid a plus.
