This is a full-time position based in the Dublin studio, and there is flexibility for remote working but applicants should be able to work in the Irish timezone as the studio.

Design and style CG hair and fur grooms for digital characters and creatures.
Work with the Groom TD, CG Supes and Rigging Team to establish procedures for grooms to animate
Work creatively to achieve the specific show style.
Troubleshoot and provide revisions based on supervisor and/or client feedback.
Optimize and deliver guide curves and/or geometry to modeling, and rigging aid in workflow and visualization.
Work with our team to develop techniques and workflows to ensure that grooms will integrate into production pipelines.
Mentor the modeling team in their understanding of hair and its relation to reference geometry to speed up the model and Groom approval process.
Help ensure weekly assigned quotas and expectations are met by the team.
Work closely with the Production Coordinator to proactively flag and problem-solve any potential issues.
Assist our Groom/Fur TD in the development of the overall Groom pipeline.
5+ years of professional experience in animation.
Strong knowledge of Maya, Yeti and Houdini.
Basic understanding of rigging, modelling, and geometry deformers.
Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of development and production.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working with production on task assignments of the team.
Knowledge of Shotgrid a plus.
