This is a full-time position and will be based in our studio in Dublin, Ireland.
The role is only open to applicants willing to relocate to Ireland when required and applicants should ideally be eligible to work within the EEA. Collaborate with series director and episodic director(s) to define the cinematic style and storytelling rules of the series.
Ensure quality, direction and style of show is consistently achieved and strived for throughout production
Work closely with the Series Director, Episodic Director(s) and Art Director on Board and Design Launches.
Partner with Episodic Director(s) to help lead Key Pitch meetings with Client
Attend all internal and external pitch meetings and reviews
Oversee and manage the workflow for the storyboard and editing departments according to the needs of production
Prepare detailed briefs and give work assignments to the storyboard artists and editors
Oversee progress of storyboard artists and editors and ensure work is completed on time and to the level of quality required for the production
Review all storyboard and animatic notes and ensure all such notes are communicated and implemented by the teams
Undertake reviews, give notes and provide approvals to the storyboard and editing teams at all stages of production
Answers questions and provide feedback and support to storyboard artists and editing team throughout production
Help oversee Animatics throughout production, ensuring consistency of style, timing and quality is maintained
Work closely with editor(s) / director (s) to help cut down episodes to time
Meet all deadlines and production milestones as set out by the Line Producer or Production Manager
Communicate any potential issues or delays and present possible solutions to storyboard and animatic schedule problems
Maintain a solid workflow and file management system and ensure all artists follow these guidelines
Help in recruitment process, reviewing and interviewing candidates
5-7 years of experience in animated projects
Ability to express character emotion and attitude through drawings
Great understanding of cinematography, staging and storytelling
Strong knowledge of anatomy, perspective, and composition
Ability to brainstorm inventive ideas to plus story material
Willingness to rework material multiple times while keeping a fresh eye
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple tasks in a fast-paced production
Ability to quickly and effectively illustrate in any style required
Proven and Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Manage timelines ensuring work is delivered on schedule
Expert Adobe Photoshop skills
Experience with Flix and Shotgrid a plus
